The EU Green Project returned to action in Reus with a special activity in an urban garden located in the Parc de les Olors. The initiative involved the participation of young people involved in actions to make the space more dynamic, and was supported by members of Open Europe.
During the afternoon, the participants joined forces to build a scarecrow which was then placed next to the plantations they had planted earlier. In a fun and creative atmosphere, everyone contributed with ideas and suggestions, revealing their artistic side and spirit of collaboration.
The activity began with the assembly of the scarecrow's structure, using shower curtain sticks and a shrimp fishing net, which were attached with adhesive tape and rope. While some drew and cut out the character's hands, boots and face, others began to dress the structure and fill it up, giving it volume and shape.
As the scarecrow took form, the youngsters decided to give it a more realistic touch by adding a tie, hair and a hat. With the construction finished, all that remained was to place it in the ground next to the garden, a task that was successfully and enthusiastically completed by everyone involved.
It was a truly enjoyable afternoon, connecting with nature, promoting the values of the project and strengthening the sense of community, making everyone proud of the final result.
